Microsoft® Office Word 2007
Basic User "Entry Level User"This level of assessment requires the use of
the Microsoft® Office Suite of applications at the level required for entry level
business communication and correspondence. The content and the skills required
are those most likely to be utilized by employees with at least a high school level
of education and minimal formal training in Microsoft Office software.
Emphasis is placed on Formatting Documents, Creating Content and Collaborating with
others in the performance of most support jobs including
clerical/administrative, customer service/support as well as many lower level
supervisory positions.
Normal User "Business Daily User"This level of assessment requires the use
of the Microsoft® Office Suite of applications at the level required for formal
preparation of specialized business communication and correspondence. The
content and the skills required are those most likely to be utilized in the
performance higher level administrative positions as well as entry level technical
and most supervisory and professional positions.
Intermediate "Core User"This level of assessment requires the use of the
Microsoft® Office Suite of applications at a level associated with a professional
level ‘.This test assesses all of the competencies required for “Core
User” level certification of Microsoft Office. The skills required
for completion of the tests are targeted toward professional level positions that
require the use of business communications for larger audiences, groups, newsletters
and complex documents such as legal contracts or corporate reports containing charts,
graphics or data presented in a variety of formats and tables.
Advanced "Expert User"This level of assessment requires the use of the
Microsoft® Office Suite of applications at a level associated with an advanced
professional level ‘Expert User’. The skills required for
completion of the tests are targeted toward senior professional level positions that
require the design, creating and formatting of business communications for larger
audiences, groups, containing advanced complex documents and financial reporting and
analysis such as corporate reports, advanced legal contracts containing charts,
complex graphics or data presented in a variety of formats and tables including
creating, formatting and editing Web based documents. This assessment closely
follows the competencies required for Expert User certification for Microsoft Office
software.
All Microsoft® Office Suite tests closely follow the
competency certification levels established by Microsoft®. These tests have
been developed specifically for internal use only by organizations for hiring and
development purposes and are not a substitute for official Microsoft® training or
certification.
